TOO MANY CHOICES? wE CAN HELP...
When you determine your kitchen layout you need to consider your options carefully. If you are unsure of your options, don't worry, we have you covered. At KICH we can inform you on the latest layouts and help you design a kitchen that will tick all the boxes.
WHAT ARE MY KITCHEN LAYOUT OPTIONS?
STRAIGHT LINE
If you are planning a straight-line kitchen you will need access to one long wall. The wall needs to be long because you must incorporate all your kitchen design needs in that space. It is perfect if you don’t have access to multiple uninterrupted walls. The straight-line kitchen can also be used for smaller spaces in your studio, loft or one-bedroom apartment.
L-SHAPE
If you only have a corner space for your new kitchen, then consider the L-shape. This is perfect for maximising those hard to utilise corners of your home. You can easily incorporate a dining table into your L-shaped kitchen layout for a more family friendly atmosphere.
U-SHAPE
You will find the U-shape kitchen great for storage as you have access to three walls worth of cupboards and space for multiple appliances. If your home is large enough you may even have the option to insert a dining table in the middle of your U-shape.
U-SHAPE WITH ISLAND
If you don’t like the idea of a dining table in the middle of your U-shape kitchen you can always add an island to the centre or along the open side to increase your bench space or create a breakfast bar for casual dining.
G-SHAPE
Do you find your kitchen to be a constant thoroughfare? Well maybe you should consider a G-shaped kitchen layout. It will also provide you with plenty of preparation space as your bench wraps around four sides leaving enough room for you to enter and exit with your culinary delights.
GALLEY
The galley kitchen layout is still a very modern and practical solution. It allows you to work with the space you allocated for the kitchen and add to that by featuring a long island bench. You have the option of featuring your oven, sink or cupboards in your island. It can also become a casual dining area with the addition of bar stools.
OPEN PLAN
If you want an extremely modern approach to your kitchen layout then open plan could be for you. It is great for those that love the minimalist feel or have a limited space to work with. You can include bold features and industrial styles to create and even more modern kitchen.
PENINSULA
The peninsula kitchen layout includes the addition of an attached island to either an L-shape, U-shape, or straight-line kitchen. It changes the layout shape with one simple addition. You will also enjoy the extra storage and bench space with this great kitchen layout.
SELECTING THE BEST KITCHEN LAYOUT FOR YOU
