Three main options
- What you want to keep in your pantry (e.g. food, toaster, microwave, dinner set).
- Where your pantry should be located (e.g. near the oven or refrigerator).
- How much available space you have for your pantry (e.g. small amount, an old laundry room etc.)
Slide or pull out Pantry
A slide or pull out pantry is more like a giant drawer. It is designed to fit into a smaller space within your kitchen but still offer the required storage. They can be slimline and fit beside your refrigerator or they can be wider and be a part of the kitchen bench. They will often have racks rather than shelves for you to store your food items.
Walk in pantry
A walk in pantry provides an abundance of storage and is a great solution if you are not short of allocated kitchen space. It is usually the size of a small room and can include floor to ceiling shelving, cupboards, bench space and even a second fridge. The latest trend is it incorporate a vintage ladder in your modern walk in pantry as a functional feature for reaching the top shelves.
