Extracting the best

When you think kitchen extractors you probably envisage a large stainless steel range hood that overhangs a good portion of your kitchen bench.  Well lets put a pin in that picture...those extractors are now a thing of the past.  Today you have access to some of the most amazing extractors you can imagine.  Extractors are something to get excited about, not dread.  Lets take a peek at six of the most popular options you have for your new kitchen design.

Under cupboard

This is a more traditional style of extractor fan.  It shows very little of the actual appliance as it is hidden away in the overhead cupboard.  It comes in a range of finishes such as; white, stainless or black.  It is slim, stylish and functional.

hood

These hoods were a statement piece in the early 2000s.  They are available in a range of finishes including stainless steel and matt black.  They usually sit between cupboards and above the cooktop.  They can be an eye catcher or an eye sore depending on your kitchen design.

Slimline hood

If you like the hood style extractor then you should consider the newer slimline design.  It gives you the same great look but with  less intrusiveness.  You can also give your kitchen a more spacious look by choosing a glass surround rather than a steel look.

Cooktop

Some of the latest technology in cooktops allows for an extractor to be located right in your cooktop.  This is great for small kitchens where there is limited space .

CYLINDER

Some of the latest kitchen trends are showcasing these unique cylindrical extractors.  They are smaller in diameter than a traditional hood but just as powerful and they can still make a statement for your overall kitchen design.

Feature light

If you are looking for something with a little more sophistication then one of these feature light extractors might be the answer.  You have plenty of design options and they hide away your extractor by doubling as a light.
